摘要: Directionally resolved records of sferic burst counts were acquired from thunderstorms during April–June 1977. Three tornadoes reported, two being confirmed as hook echoes on National Weather Service radar. The rates, plotted a function 2 min intervals, showed 4–6 period relative inactivity followed by an abrupt enhancement the rate. Numerous investigators have reported activity associated with tornadic storms; however, these results do not indicate lull in sferics immediately prior to enhancement. bimodal distribution has been observed within nontornadic storms this laboratory.
