Novel organic dyes with anchoring group of barbituric/thiobarbituric acid and their application in dye-sensitized solar cells

摘要: Abstract New bi-anchoring donor–π–acceptor metal-free organic dyes based on diphenylamine as donor, and barbituric acid thiobarbituric the acceptor/anchor were synthesized, characterized used in dye-sensitized solar cells applications. Among fabricated dye sensitized cells, device acceptor exhibits a high power conversion efficiency of 1.53% with short circuit current density 3.71 mA cm−2, an open-circuit photo voltage 0.55 V fill factor 0.75% under AM 1.5 illumination (85 mW cm−2) compared to other devices. The structure synthesized was optimized their electronic structures studied.
