Integrating gay, lesbian, and bisexual issues into mainstream psychology.

摘要: Despite the growing clinical and research literature dealing with gay, lesbian, bisexual (GLB) issues, mainstream psychology has tended to ignore much of work that been done in this area. This article illustrates how writings on GLB issues continue remain invisible such areas as life span development aging, teenage suicide, substance abuse, victimization family couple relationships. It also deals some determinants well-being among individuals, support, notes benefits accruing from studying issues. A network members within having relatives formed--AFFIRM: Psychologist Affirming Their Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Family--and is dedicated supporting its own members, encouraging other do likewise, closing gap between psychology.
