摘要: The effects upon the structure of a population ofMyrmica colonies is examined under assumption that adopt strategy persistent exclusive monogyny. various queen mortality curves are examined. It concluded field data does not support hypothesis based on this and it suggested allMyrmica recruit replacement queens. different recruitment efficiencies for haplometrotic pleometrotic species. if all species have capacity to queens then potentially secondarily polygynous. evolutionary significance social status ants discussed.
