摘要: In this review, we discuss the growing literature demonstrating robust and pervasive associations between microbiome metabolome. We focus on gut microbiome, which harbors taxonomically most diverse largest collection of microorganisms in human body. Methods for integrative analysis these "omics" are under active investigation advances challenges combined use metabolomics data. Findings from large consortia, including Human Microbiome Project Metagenomics Intestinal Tract (MetaHIT) others demonstrate impact microbiome-metabolome interactions health. Mechanisms whereby microbes residing body interact with metabolites to disease risk beginning be elucidated, discoveries area will likely harnessed develop preventive treatment strategies complex diseases.
