摘要: Ichthyosaura alpestris was encountered for the first time ever at low altitudes in western region of Poiana Ruscă Mountains. The species comes down to 208m a.s.l., being present forest habitats. On eastern side massif, I. is absent from and it rare even normal altitudes. presence these populations a found limit sub-Mediterranean influences explained by existence glacial refuge this area, which migrated very little east afterwards, due massif's particularities. Thus, altitude Mountains similar with that Apuseni Mountains, determined same factors.
