Cyclic Variations of Serum Progestins and Immunoreactive Estrogens in Marmosets1

摘要: As an index of reproductive cyclicity, the levels progestins and immunoreactive estrogens were determined in serum adult female marmosets. The by radioimmunoassay measured a protein binding assay. increased from mean value 2.3± 0.2 ng/ml to peak level 6.2 ± 0.8 approximately 5 days, followed rapid decline. Progestins began increase shortly after initiation estrogen rise, attained 272.3 17.5 declined 140.3 6.8 before ensuing rise estrogens. cycle length, as interval between successive progestin peaks, was IS.5 1.5 days.
