摘要: The Hasimoto-type theory of vortex filament motion is reviewed. By replacing the first-order law (velocity given) with a second-order (acceleration given), dynamics e.g. flexible and rigid elastic strings described in similar manner. A system nine coupled partial differential equations results, but on eliminating longitudinal motion, smaller obtained. Classic vibration are recovered as special cases. dynamic static may be applied to problems concerning cables, textile fibres, molecules other objects.
