摘要: The cytoarchitecture of the human and macaque monkey dorsolateral prefrontal cortex has been examined in a strictly comparative manner order to resolve major discrepancies between available segmentations this cortical region brain. In addition, connections areas were re-examined monkey. present analysis showed that only restricted portion what had previously labelled as area 46 same characteristics brain; remaining part middle frontal gyrus brain included 9. We have 9/46 both species. These two (i.e. 9/46), which constitute lower half mid-dorsolateral cortex, well-developed granular layer IV, can easily be distinguished from 9, on upper region, does not IV. Area 9 basic pattern 9/46, but, unlike latter areas, it receive input lateral parietal cortex. Caudal dorsomedial there is distinct strip (area 8B) which, receives significant prestriate medial results provide basis for closer integration findings functional neuroimaging studies subjects with experimental work
