摘要: Four heterologus transplants among the Diptera, A. aegypti, C. pipiens, and D. melanogaster, confirm earlier reprot on Aedes concerning non-specificity of male factor enhancing oviposition. In each case, accessory glands adult males were transplanted into thorax virgin females produced a significant rise in Two non-dipterans, T. molitor obscurus gave negative results to gland transplants. Bioassay saline extracts aegypti indicate that it produces its effect (1) at site isolated from injection area; (2) after time delay (2 days); (3) when small quantity (extract one stimulates oviposition 24 females); (4) with sustained activity (100 per cent second egg clutch). The extract is inactivated by heat but not freezing. relation age stimulant testis was discussed.
