摘要: Poly(A) tails are functionally important features of all picornavirus RNA genomes. Some viruses have genomes with relatively short poly(A) (encephalomyocarditis virus) whereas others longer (polioviruses and rhinoviruses). Here we review the polyadenylation as it relates to structure function 3D(pol). Poliovirus 3D(pol) uses template-dependent reiterative transcription mechanisms replicates viral (Steil et al., 2010). These analogous those involved in vesicular stomatitis virus influenza mRNAs. residues intimately associated templates products regulate size (Kempf 2013). Consistent their ancient evolutionary origins, telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) share structural functional features. Structurally, both TERT assume a "right-hand" conformation thumb, palm fingers domains encircling products. Functionally, use synthesize repetitive sequences: case DNA telomeres eukaryotic chromosomes. Thus, picornaviruses hosts (humans animals) maintain 3' ends respective via evolutionarily related mechanisms.
