Optimization of SiC-Based H5 and Conergy-NPC Transformerless PV Inverters

摘要: The transformerless dc/ac inverters are critical components in the rapidly growing market of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) applications. They synthesized by combining available solutions terms power-section topology, power-semiconductors manufacturing technology, and structure output filter. In addition, silicon carbide (SiC)-based power semiconductors capable to operate reliably at high operating temperature switching frequency levels combined with a very efficiency. this paper, new design technique is presented for optimizing filter (either LCL- or LLCL-type) H5 conergy-neutral point clamped (Conergy-NPC) PV inverters, which employ SiC-type devices. results demonstrate that optimized SiC-based Conergy-NPC more effective energy production than their nonoptimized (Si)-based counterparts. reducing price level Si-based devices, enables development lower cost corresponding based on Si thus maximizing economic profitability system.
