Magnetic Field-Induced Strain in Ferromagnetic Shape Memory Alloys Fe-31.2Pd, Fe3Pt, and Ni2MnGa

摘要: Ferromagnetic shape memory alloys are a kind of multiferroic materials, in which ferroelastic domain (variant the martensite phase) and magnetic closely correlated. One interesting phenomenon caused by this correlation is rearrangement variants field, associated with large field-induced strain several percent. Typical exhibiting such behavior disordered Fe-31.2Pd (at.%), Fe3Pt (degree order∼0.8), Ni2MnGa. In chapter, we show martensitic transformation these three alloys. Then, will derive condition for realizing ferromagnetic addition, origin weak first-order discussed from its electronic structure.
