摘要: The sorption of 3,6-dichloro-2-methoxy benzoic acid (dicamba) by hexadecyltrimethyl-ammonium (HDTMA) and dioctadecyldimethylammonium (DODMA) exchanged smectites was studied at different concentrations pH levels to evaluate the capability organo-clays sorb an ionizable hydrophobic compound. Dicamba-organo-clay complexes were also prepared characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Results indicated that effective sorbents for dicamba, a water-soluble, ionizable, potentially mobile organic Organo-clays with higher carbon contents usually resulted in greater dicamba sorption. Solution significantly affected organo-clays, isotherm inflection point near pKa value. Nearly twice as much could be sorbed molecular form compared its anionic, deprotonated form. Excessive DODMA contributed than pKa. Hydrophobic interactions ionic attractions responsible retention organo-clays.
