摘要: This report details 2 outbreaks of dermatophytosis in different mink ranches. On the first farm, only kits were affected, while on second small numbers adults infected. Affected otherwise clinically healthy and good body condition. Three animals euthanized submitted for autopsy. Grossly, exhibited locally extensive to coalescing areas crusting alopecia but no other significant gross lesions internal organs. Microscopically, skin characterized by chronic hyperplastic dermatitis with folliculitis, furunculosis, occasional intracorneal pustules, large intrafollicular fungal arthrospores hyphae. The dermatophyte was cultured identified as Trichophyton equinum based molecular barcoding transcribed spacer region ribosomal DNA gene.
