摘要: Xylella fastidiosa causes citrus variegated chlorosis (CVC), a destructive disease of citrus. forms biofilm inside plants and insect vectors. Biofilms are complex structures involving X. cells an extracellular matrix which blocks water nutrient transport in diseased plants. It is hypothesized that the might be composed polysaccharide (EPS), coded by cluster nine genes closely related to xanthan gum operon Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris. To understand role on formation EPS biosynthesis, we produced gumB gumF mutants. mutants were obtained insertional duplication mutagenesis recovered after triply cloning cells. exhibited normal cell characteristics; typical colony morphology biosynthesis not altered. was note showed reduced capacity form when BCYE used as sustaining medium, difference observed with PW medium. Unlike campestris, expression or regulated glucose.
