摘要: Cancer represents a significant health problem worldwide. The successful curative treatment of almost every form this disease depends on early diagnosis and, in the case solid tumors, surgical resection with or without adjuvant therapy. Intensive research efforts during last several decades have increased our understanding carcinogenesis and identified genetic basis for multistep process cancer development (1 –3). In human tumor systems, specific alterations been shown to correlate well-defined histopatho-logic stages progression (4,5). Although significance mutations etiological mechanisms has debated, causal role such lesions is now commonly accepted many tumors. Thus, represent an integral part processes neoplastic transformation, tumorigenesis, progression, as such, they potentially valuable markers detection staging (6,7). Through application sensitive molecular methodologies, clinical laboratory future will be able effectively screen populations at high risk cancer, impacting cancers. addition, new diagnostic assays expand ability clinicians accurately stage development, monitor metastatic disease, evaluate therapeutic outcome, facilitating effective intervention strategies
