Percutaneous removal of benign phyllodes tumor of the breast: An alternative to surgery

摘要: We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of vacuum assisted percutaneous excision in treatment benign phyllodes tumors breast. From 2007 2016, a total 160 fibroepithelial nodules were percutaneously removed our department. Ultrasonographic follow-up was performed 12 months after procedure assess recurrence. Out excised, 11 lesions corresponded tumors. The median patient age 39.7 years. average size lesion 16.9 mm. Ultrasound-guided biopsy before removal eight them. Six histopathologically diagnosed as fibroadenomas, one tumor and case histological findings inconclusive. mean surveillance period 27.7 months. During period, local recurrence detected (9%). conclude that is not associated with greater risk than surgery.
