Carotid body tumors at high altitudes: Quito, Ecuador, 1987

摘要: Carotid body tumors seem to be encountered more frequently in people living at high altitudes. Twenty lesions operated 19 patients a general hospital Quito, Ecuador over period of only 5 years are reported. All lived the highlands Andean region. There was no operative mortality, and morbidity comparable other series. No malignant cases were found.
