Immobilization of Mn-Doped ZnS Quantum Dots on Surface Functionalized Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes: Studies on their Optical Properties

摘要: Manganese-doped ZnS nanocrystals with an amine capping layer have been synthesized and used to decorate MWNTs. FT-IR spectroscopy was employed characterize the initial changes in surface functionalities. The MWNTs were then acylated thionyl chloride, further, capped Mn-doped semiconductor nanocrystal quantum dots (QDs) covalently immobilized on resulting QDs hybrids carbon nanotubes characterized by UV-Vis spectrometer, phosphorescence measurements, XRD. High resolution TEM EDX studies performed confirm immobilization of onto nanotubes.
