摘要: Recent technologies have allowed researchers to observe animal behaviour and monitor their surrounding environments by deploying electronic sensors onto the animals. So-called ‘bio-logging’ (also known as telemetry, biotelemetry, or animal-borne sensors) has been widely used study marine animals that are difficult for humans observe. In this study, we (1) review types of used, taxa studied, areas in bio-logging publications from 1974 2019; (2) introduce main topics behavioural environmental studies; (3) discuss suggestions future studies. We expect technological advances new will enhance ability both ecologists oceanographers explore movements, physiology environments. addition, perspectives bio-loggers improve data acquisition accuracy with longer battery life applying techniques broader species.
