Eccentric Peak Torque Analysis of Subjects Suffering from Chronic Ankle Instability

摘要: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect chronic ankle instability (CAI) on eccentric peak torque musculature. included fifty participants divided into two groups; first group consisted twenty five subjects suffering from CAI, second with no prior history injury as control group. Eccentric invertors, evertors, plantar-flexors and dorsiflexors recorded for each participant at angular velocities 30 90 o /sec by using (Biodex Medical Systems, Inc, Shirley, NY, USA). Analysis variance (ANOVA) revealed that there a significant deficit inversion, eversion, plantar flexion torques between CAI both (p 0.05). There increase in when velocity increased 90°/sec normal (p> strengthening must be considered during rehabilitation instability.
