摘要: Abstract The purpose of these experiments was to determine in normotensive rats the role endogenous bradykinin, prostaglandins, and nitric oxide glucose metabolism blood pressure response hyperinsulinemia. Normotensive Wistar were treated with two different bradykinin antagonists, indomethacin or N ω -nitro-l-arginine methyl ester, concurrently a euglycemic clamp insulin infusion rates 3 6 mU/kg per minute. Glucose uptake, steady-state plasma levels, sensitivity index determined over 2 hours. Bradykinin inhibition dramatically reduced uptake during both lower higher 30% 32%, respectively, values observed control rats. Inhibition prostaglandins did not alter Blood remained unchanged group throughout but increased significantly submitted oxide, suggesting that vasodilator systems tend counteract hypertensive effect counterregulatory component attributable about twice as great oxide. These findings suggest fails raise because its effects are offset by mobilization mechanisms, such seems play most important homeostatic under conditions, reduces allows rise.
