摘要: Summary During winter-time, two groups of captive female Mountain hares were fed food high and normal quality respectively, in order to study the impact winter nutrition on reproduction following summer. On average, animals increased their weight 19.2% from December April, while corresponding figure for other group was 7.1%. Neither size first, nor second litter year differed between feeding regimes. In first litter, leverets females had significantly higher birth weights (149.5±24.4 g) than normally (108.5±25.6 g). The showed no such differences. Gestation time similar small fluctuations around a mean value 51 days. Juvenile growth rate amounted an average slightly below 30 g per day during 2–3 months.
