摘要: Planktonic larvae of slipper and spiny lobsters, so-called phyllosoma, are known to be associated with various kinds gelatinous zooplankton such as jellyfish salps in the wild. Phyllosoma likely utilise for food, transport, protection. Based on knowledge natural association behaviour phyllosoma zooplankton, a seed production technique lobsters using food can established. In tank conditions, complete larval development from newly hatched juvenile stage has been achieved cnidarian sole three lobster species, Ibacus novemdentatus, I. ciliatus, Thenus australiensis. Understanding biophysical biochemical compositions their effect growth survival may result new techniques successful achievement mass production, well sustainable jelly-like artificial diet larvae.
