摘要: Island conservation management is a truly multidisciplinary problem that requires considerable knowledge of the characteristics ecosystem, species and their interactions. Nevertheless, this can be translated into an optimisation problem. Essentially, within limited budget, manager needs to select actions according expected payoffs (in terms protecting or restoring desired species) versus cost (the amount resources/money) required for actions. This paper presents in knapsack formulation develops techniques solve it. From this, decision-support software being developed, tailored meet pest control on islands managers. The solver uses Genetic Algorithm incorporates simplified model derives strategies reduce number threats, allowing preservation species. However, further refinement derive realistic options
