摘要: "Increased public policy focus on indigenous Australians over the past 30 years has resulted in a substantial expansion of demographic analysis same period. This paper reviews these efforts and summarizes main topics, findings debates. The accumulated evidence points to both change continuity. Change: that mortality declined; fertility levels have been much reduced; urbanization burgeoned population growth entered phase rapid increase. Continuity: because is still higher than Australian average; remains at level well above reported for all women; most individuals live away from major cities; estimation overall numbers hinges social construction identity."
