摘要: The intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL) are a distinctive population of predominantly T dispersed as single cells among the luminal epithelial cells. IEL located at front lines between interior body and antigen-rich external world. lymphocyte populations in epithelium dominated by long-lived, antigen-experienced CD8 + that share some features with memory They have an oligoclonal TCR repertoire, they exhibit rapid effector functions. Conventional activated periphery can migrate to intestine give rise protect host from oral or systemic microbial infections. Although there similarities immune system, unique adaptations environment take place. also may contain extent self-reactive function regulate cell homeostasis local responses. memory-like phenotype behavior these be acquired centrally during development.
