摘要: Cardiac catheterization was initially attempted in cadavers around 400 BC. The first successful cardiac carried out by Dr Werner Frossmann on himself 1929 [1]. A catheter self-introduced via the left anticubital vein into right atrium at a small hospital Eberswald, Germany. Frossmann, an innovator, clearly ahead of his time. Several decades later year 1958, Mason Sones accidentally discovered that coronary arteries could be safely injected with contrast dye and studied [2] Cleveland clinic Ohio, USA.
