摘要: This article outlines some promising future concepts against postoperative spinal implant infections on the basis of today available literature. The ever-adapting bacteria causing this common complication compel a corresponding continuous research about best effective treatment. aim is to give perspective several attack-points: surgical infection prevention strategies such as technical optimization implants and technique; faster diagnostic tools detect infection, especially in context late with low-virulent germs regard decision-making course workflow; combined medical treatment options infections. section will also state open issues concerning removal, an outlook alternatives post-antibiotic era. To keep up field be important retain spine surgery state-of-the-art option for mandatory interventions presence tumor or trauma even more so attractive patients degenerative disorder improvement their life quality.
