Controlled self-assembly of a pyrene-based bolaamphiphile by acetate ions: from nanodisks to nanofibers by fluorescence enhancement

摘要: In this paper, a pyrene moiety is incorporated into bolaamphiphile to form novel molecule denoted PRB. Above the critical micelle concentration, PRB forms nanodisks in aqueous solution. The addition of acetate ions induces morphological change self-assembled aggregates, which convert nanofibers with diameter several nanometers. More interestingly, along change, fluorescence assemblies was enhanced concomitantly, can be attributed binding effect on pyridinium head groups
