PtxCo1−x alloy NPs prepared by colloidal tool-box synthesis: The effect of de-alloying on the oxygen reduction reaction activity

摘要: Abstract In the presented work we investigate influence of de-alloying carbon supported Pt x Co 1− alloy nanoparticles (NPs) on their oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity. our study used a modification recently developed colloidal synthesis approach in order to prepare NPs similar size, i.e. around 2 nm diameter, but varying initial Pt:Co ratios. The results show that using surfactant is favorable control ratio. composition catalyst however lost upon introduction into an acid environment, well-known effect chemical occurs. Interestingly, despite fact due almost all removed from NPs, clear trend increasing ORR activity with content observed. indicate process for producing active catalysts.
