Isoflavone and Mineral Content in Conventional and Transgenic Soybean Cultivars

摘要: The objective of this study was to evaluate the differences in composition among six brands conventional soybean and genetically modified cultivars (GM). We focused on isoflavones profile mineral content questioning substantial equivalence between GM organisms. statement compliance label for grains verified presence genetic genes by real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). did not detect 35S promoter commercial samples, indicating absence transgene insertion. For analysis, we used method inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). Isoflavones quantification performed high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). results showed no statistical difference transgenic groups concerning isoflavone composition. concentration potassium, main component soy, highest soybeans compared that while samples presented concentrations iron.
