摘要: Ten patients with brain hernia occurring as an insidious complication of chronic mastoiditis coincidentally discovered at the time surgery are described. Four had previous surgery, six did not. A history trauma was othwise absent. Cerebrospinal fluid otorrhea not occur. Our method management is Pathology and pathogenesis discussed. Three pedunculated hernias, while seven diffuse (fungoid) herniation. Granulation tissue appeared important part disease process. These may represent abortive attempts abscess formation since widespread use antibiotics. Pacchionian bodies also play a role in pathogenesis.
