摘要: Background and Study Aims: The prevalence of endoscopically diagnosed heterotopic gastric mucosa in the upper esophagus (HGMUE) has been reported a few studies, varies from 0.1 to 10%. Clinical relevance possible association with other pathological conditions remain matter debate. A prospective study was carried out determine HGMUE, influence on it age sex, macroscopic microscopic aspects lesion, its clinical conditions. Patients Methods: total 674 new patients digestive complaints or alteration their state health underwent gastrointestinal endoscopy, special attention paid proximal when withdrawing gastroscope. They had carefully questioned, especially regarding complaints, which could have drawn esophagus. Results: Heterotopic columnar epithelium found 4.9 % patients. No difference observed according sex. mild moderate chronic inflammatory infiltration patch most cases, not related presence lesion Helicobacter pylori, only one case. Pathological gastroesophageal junction, esophagitis, were slightly more frequent HGMUE. Mild possibly three 33 cases. Conclusions: On basis our we consider that is rather common, generally asymptomatic, benign congenital anomaly. Malignant transformation severe complications are rare. need for surveillance should be reserved rare cases metaplasia dysplasia mucosa.
