摘要: To open up a 1-µm waveband for photonic transport systems, we developed hybrid and harmonically mode-locked semiconductor laser (MLL) that can transmit return-to-zero (RZ) optical signals at data rates on the order of gigabits per second. A single-mode hole-assisted fiber (HAF) was also use as signal transmission line. stable pulse train with repetition rate 9.953 GHz, width 22 ps, low timing jitter 120 fs obtained from 1035-nm MLL. With these devices, successfully demonstrated error-free high-speed 10-Gbps RZ over long distance 7 km.
