摘要: Composite materials have been used extensively in various applications, such as mechanical engineering, aerospace and aviation thanks to their interesting properties. However, a substantial drawback the use of composite is that they absorb significant amount moisture when exposed severe hygrothermal conditions. This factor dramatically affects material’s physical paper proposed new model predict absorbed by polyester/glass fiber material before after damage. Two damage models were implemented ABAQUS. A numerical simulation was estimate stresses plate. The results showed absorption followed Fickian behavior; if temperature low, plate would be damaged, but diffusion rate accelerated parameters (temperature humidity) high. Additionally, magnitude residual stress, which at its maximum beginning absorption, started decrease until reaching zero saturated.
