Synthesis of hollow mesoporous carbon spheres via Friedel-Crafts reaction strategy for supercapacitor

摘要: Abstract A feasible method is used to synthesize hollow mesoporous carbon spheres (HMCSs), which based on Friedel-Crafts reaction. In this approach, uniform polystyrene (PSs) are coated by a silica shell with assistance of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) in colloidal suspension form core-shell structure. Then, the PSs cores dissolved chloroform and molecules adsorb cavity. Meanwhile, cross-linking also proceeding via reaction presence catalyst anhydrous aluminum chloride. Finally, HMCSs obtained after carbonization removing silica. The as supercapacitor electrode exhibit good capacitance electrochemical stability.
