摘要: Purpose: Our purpose was to investigate reproductive performance among kidney transplant recipients. Materials and Methods. We studied 126 transplanted women 15 68 years of age including 33 who were single 93 married. Results. Infertility seen in 10.4% those desired pregnancy, a rate similar the general population. The most common method contraception coitus interruptus (56%), 22% patients had tubal ligation, 6% husbands vasectomies, 14% using condoms, only 2% used oral contraceptives. Among pregnancies, 16 unintended (48.5%). Most with unwanted pregnancy (93.7%). In group abortion induced three, spontaneous or intrauterine fetal death occurred six, seven pregnancies resulted live birth (43.7%). Conclusion. Kidney transplantation greatly improves fertility, so do not desire should be protected by an effective contraception.
