Foveal increment thresholds in normal and deutan observers

摘要: Abstract The spectral sensitivities of the colour vision mechanisms, as measured by increment threshold technique, were examined for groups ten normals, deuteranomals and five deuteranopes. Only in a few cases did abnormal curves lie outside normal range, but statistical analysis allowed high level significance to be placed on differences between mean values each group. deuteranomals' “green” π 4 mechanism appeared shifted about 10 nm towards red end spectrum, while deuteranopes' was blue region had sensitivity “red” 5 long wavelengths. “high intensity state” ′ severely depressed an amount independent change , deuteranopes suffered localised loss middle spectrum. For this reason it is proposed that considered mechanisms rather than states. also showed exaggeration wavelength 1 inflexion, secondary maximum 2 suggesting these characteristics are some way dependent .
