摘要: The timing of collision between the Indian and Tibetan plates along with significant evidence is described. tectono-stratigraphy region described under four major zones, Zanskar, Indus-Suture, Shyok Suture, Karakoram. plate tectonics model subduction beneath illustrated. Tectonics dextral-slip Karakoram strike-slip fault discussed special reference to age, temperature formation, displacement. Deformation features characteristic a transpressional zone are from Tangtse area. Sequential formation asymmetric folds, minor thrust faults, subsequent extension resulting in irregular orientations aplite veins Zanskar shear simultaneous development normal faults proposed for different types Himalaya appears be applicable region.
