摘要: Daily rainfall affinity areas are derived for the island of Mallorca using four years data, and a 96 × intersite correlation matrix. An initial visual impression nature organization is afforded by mapping links between sites. The Serra de Tramontana form climatological as well topographic barrier, producing marked alignment in spatial occurrence that part island. Elsewhere ‘core’ sites identified, about which high distances up to 15 km. These centre on higher elevation locations Llevant central area, also Palma Campos coastal embayments. Use rotated principal components cluster analyses applied matrices permits division into seven major areas. uplands north-west east provide clear units terms both exposure altitude, their general prevailing rain-bearing winds appears important, whilst an urban effect due sea-breeze convergence effects near implied.
