摘要: AIM The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence peripartum protein and minerals supplementation on plasma profile steroid hormones, metabolites, fertility in rural buffaloes. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total 85 advanced pregnant (~8 months) pluriparous buffaloes selected at farmers' doorstep three tribal villages Middle Gujarat were randomly divided into two groups, viz., control (n=45) nutrients treatment (40). group (n=40), addition farmers feeding schedule/control, received daily 1.5 kg compound concentrate mixture (22% CP) 50 g chelated ASMM for 2 months each pre- post-partum. Further, 15 buffaloes, group, injected parentrally (deep i/m) with 5 ml micro-minerals (each containing Se, Zn, Cu Mn 5, 40, 10 mg, respectively), twice before day calving, keeping rest animals (control, n=30 treatment, n=25) as controls. Blood sampling done days -60, -30, -15, 0, 15, 30, 45, 60 estimation progesterone estradiol by standard RIA techniques other metabolites using assay kits biochemistry analyzer. puerperal events postpartum monitored through history fortnightly palpation per rectum till 45 then again 120 both groups subgroups. RESULTS mean concentrations all declined significantly (p 0.05). injection appreciably reduced incidence RFMs (p<0.05) placental expulsion time over non-injected In period involution uterus shorter (29.39±0.50 vs. 32.12±0.82 days, p<0.05), early onset first estrus (67.65±1.67 79.43±3.06 p<0.01), service (90.89±4.41 105.09±4.76 p<0.05) higher conception rate (55.00 40.00%) than group. apparently and/or improved these traits groups. Thus, reproductive performance treated CONCLUSION results showed that nutrient terms high concentrate, sustained release (Se, Cu, Mn) during transition minutely altered hormones blood though it under field conditions.
