摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the type I interferon receptor. The interferons (IFNs) consist of a group cytokines that can be divided into two groups designated and II interferons. family (IFN-α, IFN-β, IFN-ω, IFN-τ) are involved in variety physiological responses. They exhibit antiviral antiproliferative activity, stimulation cytotoxic activity lymphocytes, natural killer cells macrophages, modulation cellular differentiation class major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigens other surface markers, activation JAK-STAT signal transduction pathway. Similar to most growth factors actions I, IFNs mediated by interaction with specific cell receptors. Competition binding studies demonstrated share same receptor complex, whereas IFN (IFN-γ) binds distinct
