摘要: This report explores the employment experiences of migrants from East and Central Europe, and reviews employer demand for their labour. The research took advantage accession ten new countries to the European Union on 1 May 2004 explore consequences granting EU citizens’ rights in UK. It describes perceptions and experiences four member states (the Czech Republic, Slovak Poland Lithuania) working low-wage occupations. Sectors UK economy selected were agriculture, construction, hospitality, au pair sector. examines employers’ recruitment practices why they hire migrant labour; particular, what the perceived advantages labour are.
