摘要: Summary Many developing countries face significant health burdens associated with a high incidence of endemic zoonoses and difficulties in integrated control measures for both the human animal populations. The objective this study was to develop apply multicriteria ranking model Mongolia, country highly affected by zoonotic disease, inform optimal resource allocation at national level. Diseases were evaluated based on their impact health, livestock sector wider society through affects economic value livestock, as well feasibility population. Data disease Mongolia collected from various government departments including Mongolian State Central Laboratory, Department Veterinary Animal Breeding, Ministry Health, National Center Communicable Diseases, Zoonotic Disease expert opinion workshop number Government officials researchers. A combined score its calculated. Five diseases determined be priority assessment (i.e. ovine brucellosis, echinococcosis (hydatids), rabies, anthrax bovine brucellosis). results supported some findings high-priority (namely rabies anthrax) previous setting exercise carried out 2011, but also identified ranked additional public importance. While process development largely specific, experience parameterizing could replicated other where have substantive impacts health.
