Unifying concepts of MHC-dependent natural killer cell education

摘要: Natural killer (NK) cells, like B and T lymphocytes, are potent effector cells that crucial for immunity to tumors infections. These responses must be controlled avoid inadvertent attack against normal self. Yet, the mechanisms guide NK cell tolerance differ from those guiding tolerance. Here, we discuss how licensed by self-MHC class I molecules through their inhibitory receptors which results in functional competence triggered activation receptors. We recent data with respect issues related licensing, thereby providing a framework unifying concepts on education.
