摘要: Abstract A combined experimental and numerical study is conducted to assess the effects of impact energy, site core density on compression-after-impact (CAI) strength pyramidal truss sandwich structures. It found that severity damage highly depends site. The CAI tests show local buckling occurs for both un-impact specimens impacted under lower while debonding observed higher energy. In case middle point four adjacent nodes, only a crack appears in impact-damaged facesheet, which propagates transversely across facesheet. nodes drop much more than node, with cores have slightly normalized reduction. Moreover, it node decreases energy increasing. addition tests, simulation performs well capturing failure modes compressive load.
