摘要: Anatomical interpretation of EEG and MEG derived source estimations is difficult, their correspondence with pathology as revealed by medical images hard to assess. In this study a method presented register electromagnetic data tomographic image the same patient, thus facilitating dipole characteristics respect patient's anatomy (MRI, CT) or metabolism (SPECT). The utilizes external triangular markers that are easy apply skin indicate reference points subslice accuracy, even if these located slightly outside scanned volume. way accurate matching ensured not only in high resolution but also standard CT MR imaging protocols employing thick slices and/or large interslice gaps. While similar marker can be used for SPECT imaging, point-like radioactive have been considered well because simplicity. At present no final conclusions drawn about optimal design marker. clinical potential modelling epilepsy other neurological applications has yet established, mainly accuracy still uncertain. registration proposed paper much more than present-day estimations, hence will keep its value when improved models developed.
