Design considerations for the construction of a reflecting symmetric multipass cell for use in laser molecular‐beam experiments

摘要: A theoretical discussion is presented of the design features that have been incorporated into a multipass cell appropriate for use in laser molecular‐beam experiments. detailed description two dimensions given, and this later expanded to highlight problems alignment three dimensions. prototype cell, constructed using guidelines here, has demonstrated 31 passes through molecular beam can be easily achieved. Computer simulations suggest optimum potential ≊101 passes. The fact position emergent clearly defined makes particularly useful purposes studying absorption spectra.
